Suspension Yoga Outing Anyone?
So Karen's trampoline outing idea intrigued me. I thought I might try my own. :)
I have been intrigued at the idea of suspension yoga for a while. It is yoga combined with aerial silks, and is supposed to be very fun, great for deep conditioning stretches and strength building, and pretty easy to get into. Any kind of supported yoga should also be good option for us post-ops who might have joint issues or weakness after carrying weight for some time. But, I'm intimidated by yoga studios, and haven't yet felt comfortable going to one by my lonesome.
I contacted The Flying Yogi (http://theflyingyogi.ca/ ) in downtown east Toronto (245 Carlaw Ave). If we have six participants, we can do a private introduction to suspension yoga class!
Cost would be $35.00 per person, with a minimum class of six.
Anyone interested?
(Their safety guidelines require participants be 300 pounds or less, just for reference and post-ops under 3 months should not do activities like this... see the saftey checklist on the website for more info)
