I'm a big proponent of the practice of keeping track of body measurements while losing weight. Seeing those numbers change helps a lot when I'm not seeing scale numbers change.

This morning I took my measurements and was disappointed when I compared them to last month's measurements. No change? How could there be no change? I've lost 4.8 lbs since then! There has to be a change in my measurements!

After a short tantrum, I put my measuring tape away. Before I put my measurements chart away, it occurred to me to compare today's measurements to the ones I took the morning of my surgery in August. That comparison made my day.

That was a great thought to look further back and see how far you've come.  Your at a normal BMI!  Congrats!

Wow! Great achievement. Are you tiny, Jean? In height I mean.   Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Well, not tiny. Just a little bit height-challenged: 5'2".

Yes, it does, I'm happy to say. If you overlook the Danish pastry of flab that seems to be permanently attached to my middle!

A while back (in other words, I can't remember when), I went to our senior citizens' center to teach an arts and crafts class. While I was taking supplies out of my tote bag, I overheard the ladies talking. One of them said, "She's just a little bit of a thang, ain't she?" ("thang" is southern for "thing"). I actually looked around to see who they were talking about before I began to suspect it was me.

Wow Jean, that is fantastic. I  need to get out my tape measure too. Like you  I was up to a 12 before surgery, lots of ice cream since I couldn't eat much else. I think I was up to 164. Now, at 5'4" I am 135 lbs. and am an 8. As long as I can keep it right there I will be happy. No one has called me a little "thang" though.

Way to work it!

That is awesome.  I misplaced my measurement from when I had surgery.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
