Woke up this morning and I'm guessing it is where my port is hurts like hellfire! Breathing, coughing, sitting, moving all hurt. I'm 18 days post op..do ya think the muscle wall is bruised and healing where the port is? It feels kind of like a huge nasty bruise. My dr is 8 hrs away...I'm gonna call today and see and I have post op next Monday. I guess that's what I get for wondering where my port was! You don't think it flipped do you? Thanks!

It never hurts to call your doc's office if you have questions!

Remember that you're still healing at 18 days, and those incisions: through both skin and muscle - are still healing. Your port is sewn to the muscle, and is also your largest incision, so it will take longer to get back to to normal. Chances are your just still surgically sore but, as I said, call you doc anyway.

OMG, my port site hurt the most and for the longest (sore for about 2+ months or so!).  Never hurts to call your doc, but that area tends to be the most painful and hardest to heal in general.  Sorry you are having pain!!
