Eating Before Exercise

I walk 2 - 2.5 miles in the morning as soon as I wake up.  Is it important to eat before I walk?  Right now I drink some water while taking my thyroid medicine but don't "eat" (actually light hot chocolate with protein powder****il I head to work which is about 1.5 hours later.

Does it really matter?

Nope!  It's not important.  Being hydrated is useful and you should definitely hydrate when you get home from your walk.  But it's totally fine to exercise on an empty stomach.  (In fact, that's what my body prefers.)

I do all runs lasting under 2 hours on an empty stomach.  Makes your body better at burning fat as a fuel source.
