I did my first 5K yesterday. I did it in 42:12. I came in 2nd in my age group(there were only 2 of us..lol) I think I will keep running but not as much in the summer. It is just too hot for me. It was a great accomplishment for me though. I do want to get a better time but I am sure I will as my weight keeps dropping.

 Awesome job!

Any finish is a finish to be proud of no matter how many people there were.

Keep up the great work.

And another runner is born!  Congrats!

In the Summer, early morning is the time to run so you don't burst into flames!  Saturday I didn't get ot run until 2:00-I considered soaking myself with the garden hose before I left....it was soooo hot!

Your time will get better-but it is really about health and fitness, and most importantly, FUN!

 Congrats!  That's a great accomplishment.

Keep up the hard work, it pays off!  While the heat sucks, even walking will be a great thing to keep up.  Mall walk if you have to!

Great news!
Please  let me know how you got started. I want to run a 5k in Oct and I'm trying to do a walk run 3 days a week.
I have Asthma- in a big way, so when I can't breathe I don't know if it is because I'm out of shape (not really, but running is different) or my asthma is kicking me?

Be so proud!

I started the couch25K program back in march. It was great. It gets you running gradually.
