 I have one. It is fun when you reach goal and it flashes...........goal across the band. I do tend to obsess so I take breaks from it now and then. :)

 Apparently there are 2 different kinds or something? 
Was it worth the $?

 I would say it depends on what motivates you. I think I would have liked the band that tracks running instead of calories/steps/nike fuel. If looking at it all day will motivate you to move more than it is worth it.
