5 K Resolution Run in 5 weeks!!!!

Hi,

I have a 5K event coming up. I think I can now run about half of it ( I have only just started jogging). But I have no idea about nutrition before an event. I was hoping that some of the seasoned runners can help me out!

for a 5k, you don't really need to do anything extraordinary for nutrition.  just make sure you eat a normal breakfast and hydrate well (you may want to avoid extra fiber/fats the night before and for breakfast if you have any gastro issues).  when you start getting into events/workouts that are well over an hour, you should have a formal nutrition plan that includes fueling during the event/workout.

don't forget to hydrate and get some carbs/protein in post race for recovery.
