5 months post op - a lurker coming out!!
Morning of surgery. 318lbs, size 26/28 shirt & pants
5 months post-op. 235 lbs, size 18/20 shirt & pants
Still learning to love my DS, but I do LIKE it a lot!!
Even better than the physical though, is that I feel so much better. My energy ispicking up, my mood has improved - although I do still take my anti-depression meds, they seem to be working better, or I am just better.
Overall, just feeling better about my self as a person - and not just a waste of space!!

Gayle, you have done AWESOME! The "waste of space" comment hit home. The first step for me getting past that was deciding that I was worth the DS in the first place. I too take my meds as directed. They DO work better for me now also. I think I am in a better place, mentally and physically. Life is good now. And it just keeps getting better. So glad you came out of lurkdom! We're good peeps. HUGS!!
