I am one year out and I reached my goal.  Now I am looking forward to my hair coming back.  I have about 1 1/2 inch of new growth.  I am taking biotin.  How many MG should I take?  I also have Rogaine.

I would recommend using one or the other, not both together. I take the quick dissolving Biotin 5000mg every other day. When i was taking it every day, the top of my head go really greasy.  I lost a lot of my hair early on, but it has now come back in thicker than it was before the surgery.

Rogaine is intended for situations where hair follicles shrink due to hormones, so I don't think it would do much in this situation.

The standard dose of biotin is 2.5mg. However, it's not entirely certain if it actually helps hair growth. This one is usually a case of "no harm even if it doesn't help," though.
