Feeling pretty good today. I haven't lost weight in 5 days (in fact I gained 5 lbs...I'm not sure whats up with that because I'm tracking everything and not even close to 1000 calories a day).

BUT I went from a size 20 to a size 16. I skipped 18 I guess! Probably because since surgery I've only worn yoga pants so my stomach doesn't hurt! So proud to be going out with my friends tonight in my size 16 outfit! It will be the first time most of them have seen me since the holidays when they all went home! YAAA!

You're off to a good start.

For the first month after surgery, your body is doing strange stuff with hydration levels and healing.  It seems like you're doing a good job about focusing on being 100% compliant - at this point, the scale will come down, probably eractically, so you're doing good not to let the scale mess with your mind.

Personally, I only weighed in at the doctors office for about the first two months - I wanted to be pleasantly surprised.  And I always was, now, at over a year out, I weigh a few times a week.

Best of everything on your journey.
