I take Fiber Gummies daily and sometimes use vitamin gummies.  Is there any reason why I shouldn't use the chewies?  Seems like I read recently they shouldn't be used by WLS patients.  Most of the time I use Centrum vitamins and double the dosage on the bottle.  This vitamin is approved by my surgeon.

The gummies aren't as complete as the Centrum.

Aside from the sickly sweetness of them, many have calories/carbs/sugar and many are quite incomplete.  Here is an article you may be interested in: http://wlsvitagarten.com/2011/01/10/adult-gummy-vitamins/

Great article.  Thanks for sharing.  I bought a bottle of Alive vitamins because I had a coupon but they have a weird taste.  I'm switching back to Centrum.

My surgeon specifically said NO GUMMY anything. I now take Thorne Research Multi Complete with Iron. Three capsules a day. She said this is the only swallow vitamin that she allows otherwise it has to be chewable, but not gummy.

Gummies have calories and carbs, often around 40 - 50 per serving. Vitamin pills, on the other hand, usually don't.

I do check the stats on them.  Can't remember what they are for the Alive vitamins but Fiber Gummies are sugar free.  They have 5 carbs and 5 grams of fiber.

During weight-loss mode I was taking fiber gummies...and then I read the stats.  I was taking 4 a day (had some BM issues) and the carbs on that amount was 10 - yikes!!

When I was only trying to do 30-40 carbs a day I sure don't want to be wasting 10 of them on stupid supplements.

Tracy, the Fiber Gummies have 5 carbs and 5 grams of fiber so net carbs would be zero.  When I was trying to keep my carbs below 50, I saw that and for a second thought as you did.

I haven't found any chewable that I like.  Right now I'm taking chewable iron, grape flavor, and don't like at all.  My next bottle is tangerine.  Hope it tastes better.
