how much did you lose before surgery?

what was your biggest struggle?

Were you able to incorporate exercise?

107 lbs

What wasn't a struggle? Working through the emotions of upcoming surgery, but not eating my feelings. Giving up sugar, caffeine, carbs, etc. Learning to eat more often in smaller portion, eating slower, etc. etc.!

For the six month supervised diet and the first six months after surgery, my own exercise was walking... that's really all I could do at the time!

I walked both indoors and outdoors! When I would walk indoors, it would mostly be at Wal-Mart or the Mall in the coldest part of the winter lol...

As far as eating goes, when I was on the supervised diet, I hate 1500-1600 calories per day, less than 30% fat... limited the carbs to veggies, whole grains, some dairy, cut out soda/caffeine, and started drinking 80-100 oz of water per day!
