Has Anyone Ever Gotten Down To A Really Small Size?

Hi guys, I am pre-op...going through the 6 month classes...have a long way to go.

I was just curious to know if anyone was a size 14/16/18+ or so...and came down to a size 2/4? I used to be a 2/4 before my weight gain, and hope to be there one of these days. I was wondering if this is even possible? I really want to be that size again...but am not sure it is possible. Anyone gotten down to that size after having surgery? I am asking this because I am only 5'2.

My little sister did it.  She got down to a size 4 from a size 22 and has maintained it for about 6 years!  It can be done!
She had RNY in 2005.

Oh wow...that is awesome! Congrats to your sister. That is really reaffirming  because that is where I want to be again. Even a size 6 for my small frame is too big...so that is why I am going for a size 2/4. Thanks for sharing this, it is really encouraging.

Another question....sorry if this is too personal, but did your sister have saggy skin afterwards? I am afraid of that too....lol

She does have some.  She talks about how her boobs are now tube socks with tennis balls in them and she has to roll them up to make cleavage lol.

But over the years even the skin has reduced.  I think she topped out weight wise at like 230... she is 5'3"

 hahahah....

Yeah I am 5'2 and 232 pounds...age 30. So this is sort of a blueprint for me as to where I am headed...at least approximately. Thank you for sharing this with me Karyn H. It is really really helpful!

I got down to size 4... and 4's were too big on me.. That was too small for my frame.. I am back to 8's.. that's good for me and easy to maintain.

Now the new 4's was like old (10- 20 years ago) 8's.I had some size 8 from 1995-6 and I could not wear  them.  They were too snag.  Just saying...

I was a size 3xl top and a 16 (should have been an 18) pants pre-op...I now wear, depending on how it's made and the cut, a small/medium top and a size 0-4 pants.

Btw, I am 5'4".

Coooool! I am so glad to hear of all these encouraging stories. I am so glad it is possible to get down to that size again (I was having doubts) :)

I was a size 28/30 (4X), and I am now a 2/4.

I'm also 5'2" and have 20-21% body fat at age 44.  I went from 291lbs to 128lbs in 13 months including 32lbs lost in the first 3 months pre-op, 130lbs in 10 months post-op.

I love my sleeve :)
