17 hours until I get my surgery and I am lucky enough to get the daVinci.  Just met the anthesthesiologist and got my prescriptions filled for after surgery and got my behind- the-ear patch.  Now off to go home, clean the house and pack up and wash with the bottle of soap they gave me to use and get everything lined up for tomorrow.  I hope to get some type of sleep tonight but I don't think that is going to happen.

I'm hoping my doc uses the daVinci as well as I know the recovery is easier.  I never thought to ask.  Good luck!!!!

Surgery weight:  232 lbs. / Goal: 145 lbs. Height:  5'5"     Fat? Ain't nobody got time for that.

It's exciting isn't it?  I remember those final hours, I was getting a stupid cold and was so scared they would cancel me because I was sick.  I don't think I slept at all the night before surgery, I figured I had plenty of time to sleep while I was put out.  lol

What is the daVinci?  I thought there were veneers but I seriously doubt that is what you are talking about.

Good Luck!

Heidi,

The DaVinci is a robot assisted surgery.  There is at the most 2 incisions and the pain levels and recovery time are suppose to be lower then lap.  It is a newer robot and there are only some places that have it.

my dr. used the da vinci for my band removal/revision to rny 4 weeks ago and i think it really helped my recovery! i had 5 incisions bc i had to get that band out of there! but my pain only lasted about a day and a half and i have felt great!
