I'm eating about 1100-1300 calories a day now. Any less and I get really antsy. Is this about the right amount or should it be less? I'm eating plenty protein and working out three times a week.

Sounds about on target as long as you are remaining protein forward in your food choices and still moving in a downward pattern...

Congrats, you're doing a great job

Wow, you're doing great!

I think everyone has to experiment and find what works for them.

Meh.  I guess.  The last three months have been 3-5 lbs a month at most and considering how early out I am, I'm concerned about what the next six months will bring.

I'm not alone then.  I'm having the same slow loss as yourself and it's been like that since the 3 month mark.  A loss is a loss I guess, but I lost more on WW a few years back!  I haven't gone down the last couple of weeks at all, in fact I think I'm going up this week.  (I hope it's water.  )

I wouldn't mind it being slow but if I could get the odd time where it goes down more than half a pound, I'd be happy.

Hi: Some people go fast some people go slow, but as long as it's going down you're OK.
For your hair and nails you can try Biotin & Nioxin.

Best Wishes.

4 yeasr post op. I eat that much to maintain.  But then I am probably older than you are.  and it may depend how much you are working out... 30 min - or 2-3 hrs..

I'm almost 47.  I usually work out for 90 mins. I have a trainer who kicks my butt then I hit an hour of Zumba, but I probably could go oftener.

I don't know about age being a factor, it could be but there is a lady who is almost 60 and she is losing almost 3 lbs a week at 5 months out even though she hasn't much to lose.

For some of us, it's just going to be a long slow slog uphill.   Spring is around the corner and the warmer months are usually kinder to my weight loss efforts so fingers crossed I can jump start it again. I'll settle for an average of a pound a week.
