Constant UTI's????
I agree-having your uric acid checked (blood test) should indicate whether or not you are possibly "stone risk". It's also an indicator of gout-good to catch that in time too. Stones fairly common after large weigh losses...
Also, it may have NOTHING to do with WLS or weight loss. As WLSers, it seems we ALL (me included!!) tend to think every post ailment we get is directly related to our WLS. We have to remember we still have other body parts, and that we still get the flu, gut bugs, rashes, and, yes, UTIs, and just like the "normies"...
Absolutely NOT trying to sound like a "smarty pants here"..just happen to know alot about pee, I guess..lol...been a nurse 30+ years...and have been going potty for 54 yrs...as females, with our anatomy, we are just plain set up for UTIs, and it doesn't take much to get them. OF COURSE, check with your physician, and get rid of any active infection. What works well for ME, for UTI prevention, is to always get my minimum water in, EVERY day, and to eat at least one serving of yogurt every day-to get in the "good bacteria". Often times what we think is a UTI is actually irritation in the lady parts, caused by yeast, etc...
Anymore questions you'd like me write you a NOVEL about? My kids always say "Dang-I just asked the time-you didn't have to tell me how to build a clock"...
Please update and let us know how things work out

We Can Do Hard Things
Twice I had urinary sepsis once after my kidney stone surgery and once I was going in for my next surgery and found I was septic and the surgery was cancelled
- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.
