WETEO's - Whatcha' Eating Today Everyone

Rainy day in the Northeast.  Made up today for my last two days of being a couch potato and took my sister's dog for two walks at the park and 45 minutes on the Cybex machine at the gym. The dog is now completely exhausted and laying at the foot of my bed.

Food was higher than I would like for it to be today.  Would like to keep the calories to 1200 and the carbs under 100.

Tomorrow early evening I have to go to a friend's house.  I am pet/house sitting when him and his family go out of town ... they return on Easter.  For someone without any pets, I always seem to be around someone else's around me!  :)

I was beyond bad today, but enjoyed every moment of it, haha!

Got up early, had an egg, bacon & cheese with some coffee.

I went to brunch with the Bariatric Bad Girls after walking the Brooklyn Bridge. I split a dark chocolate chip scone with my daughter, ate a biscuit, had a cup of tomato soup and some bacon. Yum!

Since we were in DUMBO, the husband had to take us to Jacques Torres....I had the ears off of a tiny dark chocolate bunny.

At home I had a Fage Total Blueberry yogurt, a mocha latte, and right now I'm marinating tofu for tonight's dinner.

I'll finish out with a protein shake since I'm probably way under for the day.
That didn't sound too bad!  One thing that I can still NEVER eat .. Tofu.  I know a lot of people like it, however, it has a strange texture and I could never get used to it. But I do like scones and clotted cream.  I miss London .... I need another vacation there.

***not able to exercise at this time...barely can walk. Found out Friday that L2-L3 is crushed and am on very limited walking til we see if we can "chill things down" with steroids and pain meds. I just had surgery in NOV 2010 on L1-L2...very rare place to have issues (1% of all back patients). The disc issues are 50/50 osteoporosis and 38yrs of lifting and pulling on patients and other MVA/accidents I've been involved in~~a full life!
Sorry to hear about your back ... sounds very painful.  While I am a proponent of exercise, I also think we need to pay careful attention to our bodies and NOT do anything to further aggrevate these type of issues.  Hopefully your Dr. can determine the best course of action to treat this.

Very disciplined with not eating & drinking - well done!

Thanks so much for your concern! I'm in less pain now and not bent on returning to rigorous exercise soon. I would like to walk still, but maybe soon.
I'm good with the water/eating/pill thing 99% of the time. Eating out with friends I forget if a drink is there, so now get rid of it when the meal comes. It works for me.
Inm back on track losing my 'empty nest' 30 lbs from last year. Sure learned a lot during that run! I knew to surround myself with support of like people, so I returned to OH.
I learn from others daily!

i dont think the calorie burning is right. -almost 900 caloroes just for cleaning!~ impossible!

Yes, the cleaning calories see out of whack.  I don't burn that much 60 minutes on the ellpitical machine!  However, it is still a great way to get moving and it makes me feel better when my place is clean and organized.
