I Worked Out Today! Did YOU? - 07/09/2014
I ended up working out twice again yesterday. Today is Day 3 of 6 for me on the Orange Theory 1 hour workouts. I will be resting tonight for sure. My evening workouts this week have been lower weights and more and faster reps. Working on the fast twitch muscle fibers in my muscles. Not sure what effect it will have at this time as there is not much written about this type of work out. I do not feel sore like if I went heavy and fewer reps which is my normal workout but my muscles do feel more tired.
Today I did a 1 hour Orange Theory workout. We did a number of different types of exercises that we have never done before. This is my favorite thing about Orange Theory is that it is never the same workout. We did a run/row series for cardio today. I only burned a little over 500 calories today so a bit off the mark but I feel like the workout was unique enough that it had a positive impact on my fitness.

Not yet but last night was day 8 of excercise. I did a light day of only 1/2 mile in 8 minutes and a weight workout focused on legs. Tonight I want to do 1.5 miles in 23 minutes and more weights.
EDIT: Just got back from the Y. 2 miles in 35 minutes. 2 years ago when I was walking a lot, I could never break a 20 minute mile. To be doing 17.5 minute miles after 9 days is incredible.

Some days it is just treadmill. So far I have done weights four days.

Just finished doing a 2.3 miles walk/jog. (More walk than jog..haha) I might do Wii Zumba later w/ my daughter. Went to Burlington Coat factory yesterday and found 2 new workout outfits that are so cute that it makes me motivated to work out just so I have a reason to wear them. I've always envied the women w/ the cute jog skirts and compression tanks and now I own 2 of each!
