Anyone regret having a sleeve and wish they had RNY?  Is so why?  If not why?  I'd really appreciate everyone's advice. Thanks in advance :)

Love my sleeve... RNY.. I'd suck at with taking all the supplements!  Almost 6 years out and haven't taken any regularly!  Labs always come back A-OK..

Not for a second.  RNY was never for me.  I waited until sleeve was an insurance option.

No. I didn't want to have the stomach hanging around along with things being re-routed. The sleeve is increasing in popularity. The results are pretty close to the bypass.  Fewer complications and limitations as far as meds.

I love my sleeve and am very satisfied with my weight loss. The sleeved life seems so normal. Didn't consider any other procedure.

I wouldn't have been great with RNY...I don't like the idea of malnutrition being a possibility and it seems like a much more drastic surgery.  Maybe if I had been larger but with only 110 lbs to lose I felt the sleeve served my needs.

I have 95to 100 tops. I weight about 212. My ultimate goal would be 115-120. I'm 5'1.5"

I am 5' 1" and weighed 215 at the time of surgery. I have lost 71 pounds so far. I am aiming for 115 myself. My doctor says it is totally doable. I follow my plan. I have lost 75-80% of my excess weight. Join the lightweight forum for more info.

We are so similar!  I'm the exact same height as you (also a shorty!) and weighed 212 lbs when I decided to have the surgery, and 202 lbs at the time I began my preop diet.  On surgery day, I was 197 lbs. Today, 9 weeks later, the scale says I'm 165.2 lbs (every tenth counts!).   That's 31.8 lbs GONE in less than 2.5 months.  I'm a slow loser apparently, averaging 3.5 pounds a week, but that's better than I ever did on my million tries with Weigh****chers.   My blood sugars are normal, and so my Type 2 diabetes is in remission!  WHEW!  I'm already down from a tight size 20 to a comfortable size 14, which means I am now shopping in regular clothing stores!  It's WONDERFUL!  My goal is a size 8 and I have no doubt that I will get there within a few months.  My only regret was worrying about the actual operation/pain/risk of dying/throwing up from anesthesia.  All that worrying FOR NOTHING, the surgery was a breeze and I had at worst a  half day of feeling crappy when I got home.  So happy I have done this!  Good luck with your decision!

Only regret is, why did I not get it sooner.
