New Job, New City

I just found out Friday that I was being offered a new job in Kansas City, and that they want me there in two weeks.  Between trying to stay low carb and vegan, I think this is going to be a huge challenge for me.  For the two to four weeks I'll be without a permanent home, I'm just going to try and maintain my weight and stay vegan.  Then I can get back into my routine again.  Hopefully I'll be able to get my stuff moved into a new apartment up there pretty quickly.  I did a lot yesterday to start the ball rolling.  In the meantime, I'm eating up all the food I have in my freezer and fridge.  I guess I really could live on shakes while I'm making the transition!  Now I'm just hoping I don't need a new wardrobe for this new job.  I don't want to have to go buy a bunch of clothes at this size right now.  I guess I can get by with a couple of pairs of pants if I do.

Congrats on the new job! However..uprooting everything and moving in 2 weeks is stressful!! Stress can be a bad eating trigger..I know. I feel for you. However, as tough as it is..you can do it. Just have to plan and strategize as best that you can. Yes..shakes are a good start..if there is frozen and or packaged vegan food you can bring with you that's good too. It will work out..sounds like you are on the right track.  Take one day at a time.

Good luck!

Good luck- I think you are right to think of the shakes- when in doubt it is the easiest route.  Best wishes for a smooth transition.
