Today is my day! Today I leave behind the CrapBand and begin my new life with a sleeve :) I'm sooooo thirsty, no liquids after midnight & I don't even report to the hospital until 11:30.

Best of luck!! Pack your Chapstick! If you're thirsty now, your lips will be chapped by the time you're allowed even any ice chips. Take care!

You are going to Love your sleeve. My mom had the horrific LapBand in and was so relieved to get hers out. I'm 8 weeks out and this week I've dropped 6 lbs during the Christmas holidays. In the past I would have gained 6 lbs.  I have to remind myself to eat because I really don't feel hungry and I certainly don't feel deprived or like I'm "missing" something.  It's an amazing tool and you are going to do fantastic!

good luck with your surgery.  I had mine two days ago and am doing great.  Only minor soreness but no pain.  Start moving / walking as soon as you are allowed to.  I helps a lot.

regards
