Monthly Weight Loss...?

For those with 100-150 pounds to lose (or anyone who wants to reply, really!)... How much weight did you lose monthly? My progress so far is in my ticker and I'm just curious if this sort of "10-15 pounds a month" trend that I seem to be seeing is pretty standard during the honeymoon period? After the first 6 months?

Just something that's been on my mind today. Thanks, Lovelies :)

And FYI - So far this month, I'm only down another 3 pounds after a *bleeping* stall...

I am totally bummed out bc I have only been losing 2 pounds every three weeks. So it seems to me that you are doing great with 10-15 pounds a month. I am impressed. I am following my plan to the letter and am moving like a turtle. Keep doing what you are doing~~it seems to be working!

Aww! Well at least the scale is moving! That's got to be frustrating though... Are you tracking? Getting your protein? Keeping carbs and calories in check? For me, the key is PROTEIN. It helped me break a stall that I've been in and out of for the last 2 weeks! And I've been getting more water the last week or so, which at least makes me feel better :)

You're sweet! My protein is 80-100grams daily. I am tracking everything. I guess it is a lesson in patience~~ I can only hope!

I had a bit more weight to lose - about 200 pounds, but I've been losing 15 pounds per month pretty consistently.  I did lose more when I first started dieting pre-op and immediately post op.  I think this is a pretty decent rate. I'm 5 months out, so I don't know if or how much it will slow down after the honeymoon period.

Best Wishes,

Carol

Thanks! I knew the initial month's weight loss wasn't going to be something that repeated (MAN, if it had though...). Good luck to us both!

Eventually the best you'll likely do is around 2-3 pounds a week barring any stalls. The math works less in your favor the longer it goes. Basically your maintenance calories will decline which cuts down the calorie deficit. You can beat the math with a good exercise plan, but otherwise you're basically doing what every dieter does except you have a sleeve to help.
