Chai Tea Latte... PROTEIN SHAKE??
Ok, one of my vices for a while now - not since surgery, but definitely pre op - has been the Chai Tea Latte. There was an AMAZING little coffee shop on my route to the school I taught at last year and many of my mornings started with one of these lovelies... I don't even want to think about how many calories I consumed on these things.
So I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate this treat into my routine in a HEALTHY way. And suddenly, HELLO PINTEREST.

I've got a tray in the freezer as we speak! I'm planning to add it to vanilla protein shakes :) I'd been thinking about the difficulty with brewing HOT tea and adding protein powder to it and the inevitable "clump" event that would occur. This seems like a perfect solution! Being impatient me, I'm just winging it today...
Enter SYNTRAX NECTAR VANILLA BEAN TORTE. I mixed a scoop of this with a cup of light vanilla soy milk, added a few ice cubes to my brewed tea (i****ered it down, but you do what you gotta do sometimes), and blended that stuff to a frothy dream!
I am happy to report that IT. IS. DELICIOUS. And it completely satisfies my craving!! AND BOOM! 1/4 of my daily protein!
