A surprising NSV

We bought an elliptical yesterday, and the salesman surprised me. I'd tried several (at 70% off!!) and chosen a simple one that I felt comfortable with that had a fairly small "footprint" since our house is small. When I came back with Barry to look at it again, then started talking with the salesman, he said,"This one's a good choice for someone your size."
Cue immediate inward bristling, but then he carried on:
"Many of them have too long a stride for a smaller person."
Huh. He was talking about my (lack of) height, not my weight at all.
I'm still not totally used to my weight not being part of decision-making. Although I'm still obese, I now fit anywhere, and other than the electric scooter (the kid kind, not the old lady kind) that I've promised myself if I ever get under the 150# weight limit, my weight doesn't keep me from doing pretty much anything I like. Life is good and getting better.

I'm discovering just how weak I am, Jenn. I can walk just about forever, but my knees are aquiver after only 5 minutes on the elliptical. So - 5 minutes it is. Next week - 6 minutes.
