Hello. I'm out almost 5 days and I'm wondering when drinking protein and my fluids will get easier and not be so tender or uncomfortable.

YES! It gets MUCH easier. You'll be able to get a bit more every day. If you're having trouble with cold liquids, try lukewarm (or vice versa). I never really had issues with temp, but a lot of people say that helps. Good luck! Just keep sipping, just keep sipping!

Hi Sherry, like the other poster put it does get easier. I found that I could not drink anything if it wasn't straight from the fridge. It made me feel a bit like a princess for being so picky. I have seen others that prefer warm beverages, anything below fridge cold to me made me feel ill, and not quite right. I still had to sip constantly throughout the day (all day) in order to get the minimum amount of liquids in. Try walking around a little bit to see if that helps as well. Sometimes the gas buildup can make one very uncomfortable. Hope this helps!

It really will get easier each day.  Promise.  You might try your fluids at room temp or even a little warm to see if that helps.  Also if you are still swollen on the inside, the little bit of warmth might soothe that.

Good luck and stay hydrated!

You are at the phase now where you will feel better and better every day. I was still pretty uncomfortable at 5 days out.

Like the others have suggested, try playing with the temperature of your liquids. You might also try adding things. I like Propel water additive. Or cucumber slices. Or Powerade Zero. While I like the taste of plain water, it just doesn't go down as easily for me.
