I would like to know if anyone has found a great post WLS food diary made for US?  I wonder if there is one out there that will allow you to check off protein, carbs,, vitamins, etc...  Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.

myfitnesspal.com it also has a free app for your smart phone. It tracks anything you need, calories, carbs, protein, sodium, etc

Oh and the website syncs with your phone. It also can scan barcode on food and input data that way.

Anyone can add me: sentheticangel

I seem to be more successful with old fashion pen to paper.  I like my fitness pal, but I really want something to hand write.  Thank you for your help.

I have mfp and sparkpeople. They are very similar but sp u can track certain things (vit and such) if mfp does I haven't figured out how to use it. Lol (Still new to it)

I'm like you I like good old paper and pencil when I log. I had a great book that listed carbs, protein, fats and calories that I used but I bet something like the Atkins website would have a pretty good nutrition list or really any good one on line as long as you use the same one all the time. Just google nutrition lists and I'm sure you'll find something you can use. I like having to look up all the ingredients and writing them seems to impact my brain more than if I used a computer or phone for it

I used a compocition book and made my own columns on each page. I found myself going to the web constantly for nutrition info so I figured why double my effort and started MFP

I started out on postop day 3 with the DietMinder Personal Food & Fitness Journal, but I eventually abandoned that in favor of MFP.  I have no smartphone, tablet, nor iPad, so I can only access MFP through my PC.   As a SAHM that's not such an issue for me.

The book is about 8.5" x 6" including the spiral binding.  Its two-pages-per-day format includes columns for the things we normally track -- calories, fat grams, carbs grams, fiber grams and protein grams.
