To Meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

Sorry because of Facebook No PIC.  I couldnt wait for this day to come looking at others peoples posts before surgery and now I am here.  What an amazing journey.  My life has completely changed.

I am 8.4 pounds from goal.  I think I would have been at goal and want to share I do eat more calories than the next sleever, but I am totally happy with how I eat. I have been maintaining about the same weight for 5 or 6 months now.

I am one year off recreational sugar since Jan 30th 2011 is what my sponsor and I figured out my OA Abstinent date is.  I feel terrific.  yes that means no cookies, pies, candy, cakes etc...  Huuurrray for me.  this is my choice.  I cannot tolerate these food. I found out through the sleeve I have a severe allergy to these foods.  I cannot tell you how many allergists and shots I have had. they never found out what I was allergic to.  Guess what, since the sleeve, nothing....  No HIVES.
omg I am soooOOooo relieved and just that alone is a miracle which enables me never to eat that crap again.   this is just me...  I am allergic...

I feel like I have been at goal.  I am not looking to be skinny thing. I get to enjoy eating in moderation, I eat clean food, Its more like I am eating in maintenance.  yes I am a total health nut and I love it.  I eat 85%- 90% of the time clean food.  The other 10 -15 % I leave for those occational things that I may have.  But NoooOooooo recreational sugar for me. I quit it like an alcoholic quits drinking.

I lost 101.6 pounds and my life has changed. I can walk again, I dont have all these medical problems. I am grateful to my Doctor, Son, My friends, my support groups, and this site truly has been my number one staple for recovery.  I just feel sad about deleting all my pics and the paranoia about the facebook thing.  Looking back OH also saved my mental heath because it was you people that supported me and posted your experiences.   It was actually you people being on OH and I thank you. I forever carry you in my heart.

My life has changed and not only do i love my sleeve, its really me who I am falling in love with.
I am grateful for this process and feel lucky for this process.

Thank you to those OH sleevers that supported me this last year.
I love youuuuuuuuuuu all

Aw, Doc, I love you too!!  You have really, really inspired me in so many ways.  You have been instrumental in seeing my VSG as a tool to abstinent living, and to claiming my 12-step heritage in this journey.  I love knowing you really "get me" in that regard, and I love knowing you understand how free and joyful I feel away from the recreational sugar - not at all deprived.  And thanks for introducing me to that expression - recreational sugar - as it completely describes my feelings about the topic.

You could always chose a picture of Demi Moore as your avatar!!

HUGS!!!  CONGRATULATIONS!!!
