Denied

I just called the insurance company.  An answer was promised by today.  I was told surgery "was not medically necessary."  They said they need a letter of recommendation from my Doctor.  PS--that was already submitted....  I also jumped through many other hoops, as have most of you.  I weight 250,  I have left ventricular hypertrophy, hypertension, I use a C-pap, I'm on statins for hypercholesterol, I have asthma, and horrible joints in the knees. I have a 12 year old daughter.  I am actually devistated at this news.    I have been considering this since early September, only to find this out today.  VERY SAD. 

You are just going to have to appeal. There is no way based on your medical ailments that this is not medically necessary. Are they insane?!!!!!  Good luc****ep pushing them.

I was denied at first bc they were missing info...but I resent what they needed and got approval! You appeal~ no way they won't approve you! Just want you to jump a few more hoops!!

 I'm willing to jump!!  I need this so much!!  How long did your appeal take?  I already sent my MD a letter. To advocate on my behalf by calling the peer review specialist.  Thanks for encouraging me.
