Surgery dates in Ottawa

I would like to know how long you waited, after seeing your surgeon, for your surgery date.... I've heard 3 to 5 months.  Thanks for sharing!

I would also like to know this - I was told the same.

met the surgeon March 6 and still waiting for a date :(

I met my surgeon January 28th still waiting for a call for the surgery date.

wow that is a long time :(

 

I met the surgeon Jan 9th. I called Lana in OR booking 2 weeks later and she didnt have a date. Then I called 3 weeks after that and she gave me a date. I go April 24th.

I was persistent but that doesnt always work..lol

If you havent heard from her 6 weeks after meeting with surgeon I would call her.

Hello, I saw the surgeon on Dec 3rd, 2013 and had my surgery on March 20th, 2014. I have a friend who saw the surgeon on Jan 27th, 2014 and has yet to get a surgery date. I am really not sure what the process is for Ottawa. Good Luck!

Although I am not having surgery in the Ottawa area, no matter where you have your surgery in Ontario it all depends on the patient. Some people require different pre-op tests than others. I know I've seen a few people on this forum from Ottawa and it looks like the time frame is around 1 year to 2 years. But again, it all depends on what tests the doc requires you to have.

sorry not sure if you were talking about the whole process! from what i've seen from the time of referral to surgery is 1-2 years :)
