PATTS and starting Opti tomorrow - HELP!
Hey guys,
I get to start Opti and have my PATTS on the same day. I feel like I need to fast before it (my appt is at 1:00pm) but I can't find anything mentioned in my forms. I also wonder if it would be a bad idea to be having my first shake and then running downtown... what with the potential for OptiTrots!
Does anyone know if I should fast for TWH PATTS?
Referral 08/13, Orientation TWH 09/18/13, SW 09/26/13, NP 09/26/13, Surgeon Appt 12/13/13, MRI 01/06/14, Nut Class 01/14/14, Nut 01/20/14, Scopes 02/21/14, Psych 02/25/14, Dr. Urbach 03/28/14, PATTS 04/15/14, SURGERY 05/06/14!!! 
I did PATTS last Wednesday and I didn't have to fast. I'm going through HRRH and I'm not sure if different hospitals have different expectations. Maybe call and ask?
I can't speak to the OPTI trots. I started OPTI on Friday and it's had the opposite effect on me.

I didn't have to fast in Ottawa, I went last Thurs. I didn't even have blood work drawn because it was done in Jan and looked good.Just an ECG and spoke with the pharmacist ,nurse and anaesthetist. I was in and out in an hour.
I was on opti for 7 days by then. Take it early enough before u go just in case!
Orientation: December 2012 ~ Met Surgeon: Jan 9/2014 Surgery date:April 23rd/2014 Ottawa ~ Started Opti: April 2/2014 ~Opti starting weight April 2/2014: 271.4lbs~Pre surgical appointment: April 10/2014 ~Surgery weight TBA
Thanks guys! Kerry, I'm supposed to start today. Maybe I will have one now and wait to have another until I get home. I need to get a bag of ice (we still haven't got trays as our new fridge was without) before I can do more than one.

I just made my first! It's not so bad, I guess. I got 2 weeks worth of vanilla and 1 of chocolate. My dad gave me some peppermint extract, then I bought lemon, orange and maple extract (sugar free). I also have Crystal Light and Mio on the ready!
1 down, 83 to go! Oh, I guess I should take a Metamucil pill too...
