Man, although the pain is lessening ( some ) I am trying to get down 5 30ml cups of water down one hour and 5 30ml cups of protein shake down during the day...

However, I am walking 10-15 minutes at a time every few hours ( get tired after 15 minutes... sheesh )..... My fear is that (TMI!!) that I am still dehydrated as per my pee color... dark yellow.. but I am only 4 days post op and doing everything I can to get this much liquid in.. but between the walking and the napping it seems I cant keep up.. I am so afraid of hurting my body due to this... please anyone.. advise please :(

Try to stay calm! Remember protien shakes have liquid and count as water too! . Your doing it!

Just keep sipping walking and napping! You are doing great!

You are doing fine so don't worry! Just get in what you can comfortably. I struggled badly with fluids when I was newly post op, everything but broth made my stomach turn. Just do your best and slowly but surely it will get easier. Your body is still in shock and recovering. Give it another few days and if it hasn't started to get a bit easier, discuss it at your 1 week post op apt.
Hang in there!

pretend you're a teenager in grade 12 and having been invited to a university party by the hottest boy (or girl, don't care) you have ever seen, they're playing drinking games, if you can keep sipping the 30ml so its gone in no time, you get to have your way with him (her, whatever)...    If your imagination is REALLY good, it gives you something else to do before your next nap!

Your pee colour might be off still because of the vitamin b 12 you are likely taking.. it makes it very bright or dark yellow.. that being said I didnt have that much trouble after surgery

Your doing great!  I'm 2 weeks post op today & remember how hard it was to finish a bottle of water in 1 day!  My pee is still yellow!  Probably all the vitamins!

Don't give up you'll get a little better every day!

Sounds to me like you are doing really well.  Don't worry it will come in time. Just keep doing a little more each day. Your an ACE.
