Not sure if these are well known or not, but when I was at Walmart in Port Huron this weekend I found Nature Valley Protein Chewy Bars with 10 g of protein.  Two flavours - Peanut, Almond and Dark Chocolate flavour and Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate flavour.  The second one is yummy - haven't tried the first yet.  Calories are a bit high - 190 with 14g carbs (6 sugars and 5 fiber), but if I feel like having a granola bar at least I'm getting some protein!  They were just under $3 a box.

Thanks for the post. It is too high calorie for the amount of protein for me. For that amount I want at least 20g of protein.

Me too. And they sound super-yummy and I can just see myself going crazy on them.

They are my incase of emergency grab and go snack.  I use them after I run for a 5 km and didn't quit get the calorie intake I needed before.  But only in case of..I usually make my own all natural peanut butter protein balls instead.

I hadn't seen the high protein bars.  I'll keep my eyes out.

I still try to follow the 10g of sugar or less per serving rule when shopping. It keeps crap out of the house and my bag.  But a low sugar granola bar (much cheaper than a protein bar) is good in an emergency.
