Hi
I think it would depend on your bloodwork. I was taking 1000 mcg chewable B12 every other day (strips when I had them). I had started at 500 every other day. My last bloodwork came in a bit low so they (humber) told me to keep the same dose but take it every day instead of every other day. I am 9 months post op.

You can't make red blood cells without the other components, like protein and iron, so don't forget those either. Best wishes.

Really it depends on your bloodwork.
I could tell you my dose but mine is low cause I have no b12 issues - iron issues galore but not b12 issues. Indeed I have to be careul to not take too much b12.
Fyi - sublingual b12 absorbs better than oral (chewable). And those jameson strips aren't sublingual they are oral.
