Visual Motivation?

I saw this and thought it might be a good idea for some.  I think for me it would be great as long as things kept moving, but once it slowed down or went in the opposite direction I might get frustrated quickly.  But some people like and need a visual and this would be it.....

LOVE THIS!!

Does each stone represent one lb? I love this idea.

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

I use to do something similar years ago, for ever pound I lost I put a marble in a glass, it was helpful.

Put a loonie or toonie in a jar instead for each pound lost - this way you'll save some money too! That's what I'm doing - I have a jar at work that I'm using.

ETA: The money I'm saving I have earmarked for a gift for myself when I reach goal. It's a silver necklace from Birks. I wont have all the money for it, but it'll be close. My goal is 199lbs and I'll have $154. Nice reward!

Great idea Lori!  I like the coin idea as well.  I can see this being helpful especially after goal into the maintenence phase.  It would definitely be hard to move those back in to the "to go" jar!

Great Idea!!! I think I am going to do the twoonie for each pound lost.  Then I can buy myself some type of jewellery.
