I start optifast this saturday and then go until july 2nd and then nothing but clear fluids for 2 days.

That's great news!  You're from Thunder Bay, aren't you?  How long was it from your video conference to getting your surgery date?  I'm just curious as my video conference is next week.

i had my video conference on May 25th, the final training/education session on the 6th and then the date yesterday which was 13th of june.

yes i am from tbay.  how about you? good luck with yours. too. will keep my fingers crossed.  i think you have to go into the video with the thoughts that you will not get your date then but you can ask them when they think they will be assigning dates for surgery.

Yes, I'm from Thunder Bay as well.  One week from today I conference with the surgeon, surgery class is July 4.  I work in a high school, so I'm really hoping that I'll get a date sometime this summer.  Since I'm off for 6 weeks, it's the perfect time for me.  But I'll take what I can get.  Your date is only 6 weeks or so from your conference, so if the same pans out for me, it'll be early August.  I sure hope so.  Good luck to you!  Do you know of the results of any others in your group?
