I was just wondering what the average is on the pre-op diet? Would love to hear from you and how much you lost during that time.
Thanks!

I had about a 12 lb loss. When I was weighed at the Vic their scale said closer to 17 but their scale is really way off.

According to my scale at home, I lost around 16. When I got to the Vic the morning of my surgery, their scale read around 21...it's about 5 pounds more 'generous'.

I went from 265 to 253 I think...it was last year! I can't remember, seen too many "new" and "foreign" numbers on the scale in the last year..LOL

I think the weight loss also follows how much you have to lose in total. Average seems to be 10-15lbs for light weights and 15-25ish lbs for heavier people. Men also tend to lose faster than women.

I liked the pre-op diet. It really helped me get my head in the right spot. I was tired and cranky the first few days, but a LOTS of water and a few tyelenols and I was feeling fine. Full of energy the second week. I cleaned all I could then..LOL
