I heard it usually starts appx. 3 months and continues on average, until month 6 or 7. Hope this helps you some.

I am 14 months post-op... I am finally noticing that my hair seems to be thickening up a bit. It seems like it will never stop! I only shampooed every other day to help slow down the loss I would see in the shower drain. Hang in there - it will stop eventually!

Hello, I experienced a little hair loss at 3.5 months, then a lot of hair loss from month 4 to month 7 and now at 7.5 months post op it has really slowed down. I had thick hair to begin with and you could never tell I was losing clumps a day but I knew because I came out in the shower and on my brush! Now it has almost stopped and my hair is getting back its natural shine and fullness it had before. I even went from brown to blonde with no problems! Hope that helps!

Mine was month 3-6. I know of someone else whose fell out months 5-8, so it varies. It is usually 3 months worth. Mine stopped a few weeks ago, FINALLY!! I now have tons of new growth, about an inch long, all over my head. They try to stick out. And I never went bald like I thought I would.

Mine started around the 3rd month. I am now 7 months post and it has slowed drastically. I did have really really thick hair, and I lost at least half of my hair volume. The hair that remained looked really unhealthy and brittle. Just yesterday, I noticed some new growth. I think the worst is over. It should start thickening up and looking healthier now. My opinion is....small price to pay to be skinny!!! I am only 7 months post, 5'7" and weigh 147. Only 12 pounds to my personal goal of 135. According to "the charts" I am at my ideal weight now. My BMI is 23. :) I LOVE THE RESULTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
