Question:
What will I need to take with me to make my hospital stay better.

My surgery is in 10 days and I'm trying to get organized and was wondering if there were something people wished they'd have taken with them and didn't.    — Marsha V. (posted on September 10, 2001)

This may sound gross, but baby wipes and a pair of kitchen tongs....this idea was found on this site and it really helped me in the bathroom when I wasn't able to "reach" after using the restroom.

I agree with the other two answers, and i'd like to add one other thing, A FAN. I was lucky enough to get one in the hospital but I had a friend having surgery a few days later and she wasn't so lucky to get one, a family member brought her one, believe me they help. Good Luck with your surgery

Definitely what is listed below. I took along a set of cheap $1.98 tongs I bought at Walmart for bathroom cleaning (I wasn't able to bend at all right after surgery). Another thing is a calling card to make long distance calls from your hospital room. A robe and slippers for those walks in the halls.
