Question:
Insurance approved my surgery for RNY at BTC in Langhorne but it has to be in 30 days

My insurance approved my RNY at BTC in Langhorne but says it has to be done within 30 days or I have to reapply. BTC said I should be getting a surgery date w/in 2-3 weeks but they aren't even starting surgeries in Langhorne until Sept. 16 which is way beyond 30 days from when they approved it...What happens now??    — Rebekah A. I paniced when I got my approval- I also had been given an expiration date that expired before my surgery date.I made the call myself to the Utilization Review Board at my local medical group- they're the ones that gave me the approval in the first place- and told them the problem. They just changed the date and sent me a new copy of the approval. It was no big deal...just a technicality. Don't worry....
