Question:
Help me, please. Could it be possible that I developed another?

Tonight I felt an awful pain, I went up to the bathroom and found a large buldge closer to my belly button! I pushed it and it did the weird buldge thing that my hernia had done. Is it possible to get another hernia only a week after my surgery????????!!!!!! Did the mesh slide??? Or could it be some odd swelling? Or could the surgeon have done a shoddy job????? It might be flud build up I know after I had my TT hernia repair I had allot of fluid build up dr did not put a drain in me and had to go several times to get it drained but the fluid build up hurt at the top of were my hernia was under my ribs it felt like someone sticking at hot match to me and at the bottom of were my hernia is at their was allot of pressure their but after he would drain it then the pain was gone but I would ask dr about it just to make sure the mesh did not slip or you have not delovepd another one Take Care Huggs Beth

It sounds like a build up of fluid a combination of blood and liquid---dont know the medical term for it. I had this type of thing...leaned up against my island in my kitchen and it came out through my incision and all over the floor...gross! This happened 3 or 4 times in three weeks during recovery. Call your surgeons office and get it checked out. Best wishes to you

Hi Tracey, It sounds like a seroma(large collection of blood and fluid) i had one also 2 weeks ago and it ruptured right out of my belly button.it looked like an alian. all your MD and have it checked out.i was one leviquian for 2 weeks for the infection that occured. its not uncommon for a seroma to occur.it stills needs to be taken care off.
