Question:
I have a date 6/21/00. Can Ido anything now to make my surgery easier?

Well, if you smoke, REALLY stop smoking now (this advice is from a 47 year-old grandma who smoked for 30 and cheated by sneaking smokes up until the last day before surgery!). If you know someone who has asthma and has breath (inspired) volume meter (they are little cheap plastic machines with a ball in it) borrow it and use it. I used my son's for a month before surgery and it help considering I wouldn't give up those last few cigarettes. And shave your legs the night before, it will be hard to bend after surgery! Hopes this helps :-)
