Question:
Does anyone have an existing weight and measurement chart that can be started pre-op?

My doctor does not keep any records relating to your measurement changes post-operatively. He does no pre-op photos. Oh course, he follows your weight. Does anyone have a chart that I could use to chart it myself? I know at times there are plateaus where you don't lose much or any weight but the measurements keep going down. Any suggestions?    — mrs.qtip (posted on October 31, 2000)

I know of a great link that I use to chart my body measurements. I'll post it later today when I get home.

Jeanne, Just buy some graph paper and put the date across the top (each Sunday for example), and weight in 5 lb increments along the side (250, 245, 240, etc). Then just watch your graph line go down each week! Post it on the bathroom or dresser mirror and really READ it everytime you hit a plateau. Also, it may help you to make a list of WHY you had surgery; what you expect to gain (or lose), and read it when you hit a plateau. It will remind you of how far you've come and all you've gained (or lost!). Best wishes, Susan
