Question:
will having a hernia affect my approval for surgery?

I just found out that I have a hernia.It is just below my rib cage.Will this affect my surgery at all.Will I have to get it fixed first?    — christy M. (posted on July 16, 2004)

i have a hernia also and its being repaired at the same time as the bypass sx in fact ive been waiting almost 9months to have it repaired to have one surgery. many docotrs repair hernia at the same time as the hernia. no body wants to go under more anthestisa then necessary. All the Best! Tracey
