Is it possible you could talk to your aunt that had the surgery? If not, do you need someone to be right next to you through all of this? Everyone is not the same and I'm not trying to change your mind, but I did this alone. I didn't always have it arranged that way, but it's how it worked out. I went to the support meetings and all my appointments alone. Yes, it's great to have someone there by our side, but it isn't mandatory especially while in the hospital. In the meantime, you can always hang out in the chat room here or post as much as you like. Best wishes!
