Question:
Help with pre op weight loss
I am over 330lbs and I carry my weight stomach. My doctor wants me to lose 50lbs before surgery. I need help to find a doctor in Georgia that will do Surgery Lap or a quick weight reduction program. — Blackbutterfly (posted on March 18, 2004)

I did the Atkins diet and walked 1 hr a day. I lost 55 lbs in about 2
months before surgery. Best of Luck!!

Dr. James K. Champion does lap surgery, and has done so on patients in the
500 or 600 range. You can check his web site out and contact the office. He
is located in Atlanta, he was my doctor and I'm very happy with him and his
office staff.

I used Peachtree Bariatrics in Atlanta, Dr. Titus Duncan is the lead
physician but there are several physicians in the practice doing the
surgery. Mine was done by Dr. Johnson and I felt fantastic from the minute
I woke up and have had NO problems at all. I really recommend them. You

I used this pre op and lost 7lbs in 2.5days once and kept it off... I tried
this diet about 2 weeks ago just out of curiousity and it doesn't work now
cause my calorie intake is low ..... I only lost 2lbs in 2 days... but
its pretty easy to follow. Good luck in what ever you do.
