Question:
Anyone know a WLS-friendly psychiatrist in NJ or PA?

I have to go for the dreaded psych eval. My surgeon's psych group does not take my insurance and the only other one they have to reccommend does not either. I dont just want to go to a shrink who has no knowledge of weight loss surgery! Any suggestions other than calling everyone on the list?    — emilyfink (posted on February 26, 2002)

There is a doctor John Rotondi in Belleville, NJ at 36 Newark Avenue 973-759-0110. He was very nice and understanding for my psy. eval. Good luck

I used Dr. Charles Wagner. OUt of Marlton, NJ. I will find his number and email you. He is the nicest, sweetest man and he totally understands people with weight problems, or eating problems as he has one himself from what he told me. He also doesn't do the "test". It was such a nice experience talking with him. I believe Dr. Greenbaum uses him. His website is drthin.com. Maybe Dr. Wagners number is on his website. Good Luck!

The Morristown Memorial Hospital doctors (NJ) recommended that I see Kathy Griffiths in Mountain Lakes. She is pro WLS and is asy to find off 287. If you're inclined to come this far, email me and I will find her phone number.
