Question:
question for all black females who did'nt lost hair.

i'm just under 2months and concern about hairloss especially since i've already have thin hair. would like to hear from those who did'nt have hairloss, what did you do and how much did you weigh.    — Tanya W. (posted on December 19, 2003)

Hi, I didn't have a problem with hair loss. not saying some didn't fall out, cause it did, but it wasn't much. I think it only lasted a month, then it stopped. I just kept it moisted with conditioner. and also lightly greased. it soon stopped and started to grow again. the fall out to me wasn't that bad. I have relaxed my hair since my wls. just don't do it right after your wls. cause your body needs to build up on proteins again, What I did before my wls I put one in a month in a half before my surgery.

I am 4 months post-op and I have had no hair loss... no more than normal anyway and I have very "thin" hair also. I have had a perm and everything turned out fine and really I think my hair is growing. My body seems to like the vitamins and I also take biotin which is for your "hair". Make sure to get in your protein also... God Bless You in your Weight Loss Journey!

My hair loss was limited to two areas that thinned a bit. This lasted for about 1-2 months and these areas are now growing back quickly. I take biotin and took it even before my surgery. I also added zinc and vitamin E. My hair dresser also started using a vitamin hair conditioner that seemed to help as well. Although I don't have the name of it. She conditioned my hair weekly with a hot cap for several weeks. Can't really say what helped the most but maybe it was a combined effort. No one but me (and my hair dresser) even noticed the thinning since it was so minimal.

I have not had any hair loss, as a matter of fact my hair is growing thicker and longer everyday. I just had a haircut.

I DIDN'T LOSE ANY HAIR. MINE GREW! (ain't that funny).I JUST DID EVERYTHING TO IT THAT I ALWAYS DO. I EVEN PUT BRAIDS IN IT AND STILL DIDN'T COME OUT.
