Question:
I need to find a PCP with Aetna who is willing to give refferals, in the Central FL.

I've just gotten back from another appointment with my PCP and he says there's nothing wrong with me medically to keep me from losing the weight. I've gained another 10 lbs from the last visit, my blood pressure is up and my BMI is 49.6 and I'm 27 and he says there's nothing wrong with me....does anyone know of a cooperative PCP with Aetna in the Orlando area? Or anywhere in Central FL? I'm wanting to set up an appointment with Dr. Overcash in Ocala, FL    — Donia M. (posted on August 27, 2002)

I have an Aetna PPO and I use Dr. Michael Mears. The man is wonderful, he listened to me and was ready and willing. As a matter of fact he has several patients that are in different stages of this surgery. If you need more info on him pop me an email :)

My PCP is Dr. R. Delvadia in Titusville. I found him to be very supportive. I also know there are about 2 or 3 other patients going through him for PCP who are awaiting surgery. My surgeon is Dr. Tenewitz in Melbourne. Oh yeah, I have Aetna HMO. Best of luck to you.

Hi...I have Aetna HMO and my PCP is Dr. Gary Snell in Sanford. He's WLS friendly, but if you don't have complete records of Dr. supervised diets, he may prescribe something before he actually refers you. My surgeon is Dr. Muhammad Jawad in Ocala, and he is a wonderful surgeon. I had my surgery one year ago tomorrow, and I've lost 153lbs, 125in, and never had one complication...Good luck in your search...
