Question:
Is it normal for your stomach to roll with gas 3 days post-op?

My stomach it rolling with gas and I have been having alot of loose bowel movements. It this normal 3 days out from lap- surgery?    — Regina S. (posted on July 19, 2003)

Yes, Definately! This is normal. Your symptoms should subside after 2-3 weeks. Hang in there! You will feel much better soon:)

You bet this is normal. I experienced the same thing during the same period as you did. Don't worry things will get back to normal soon.

Hi, Regina, it is very normal for the first few weeks or so they want you to pass alot of gas at first to get your bowels back into shape and loose bowels is normal too. If it is uncomfortable for you then try taking some gas-x for the pain that will help out alot! Good Luck to you!

heck yeah!! personally I thought the terrible abdominal gas pain was worse than the shoulder pain immediately post-op Lap.
