Question:
Any help or info on Vista Vitamins for open RNY post ops?

I was just told today about Vista Vitamins that are made specifically for Gastric ByPass patients. My question is that my doctor said I could not swallow pills and yet these vitamins are capsules? That doesn't make sense. Is it ok or not to take this post op vitamin? The spotlighthealth.com site where I found info on them states that they breakdown quickly in the pouch? HELP!!    — Lourinda L. Lourinda, I take Vista Vitamins with no problems. I didn't start taking them until my third month post-op. I believe it's supposed to be the fourth month before you start taking them. For the first 3 months post-op, I took Flintstones chewables until I was ready for the pills. I don't think your doctor means not to take pills from now on, just not yet.
